I am really fortunate to work in Shree Sahid Smriti Awasiya Secondary School as a principal. This school is different from other government schools because it is attended by children of martyrs, wounded and disabled. I love and treat them as my own children. I find each day an adventure filled with new experiences, learning for all, and a chance to constantly widen my horizons. It always gives me a great pleasure to see the sea of smiling faces of children who have lost their parents in 10 years of Maoist war and I feel these smiling faces are the source of my happiness and books to read the meaning of life.
Expectations of our students are high. So we are devoted to make every girl and boy as a responsible, resilient, confident and potential young adult who can shape their future themselves and lead the society and country in the right direction. Our only motto is “Work hard to be a productive citizen of the country.” We believe in a joyful experiential learning system where each child is encouraged for the better performance. At Sahid Smriti School, we leave no stone unturned to offer multitudes of opportunities to our children. The students at Sahid Smriti School are offered many opportunities to explore their interests and investigate new ideas. We offer many activities, sports and a large variety of musical ventures that our students can participate in. Many of our students are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities.
I am also fortunate to work with such dedicated, innovative and caring staff members, parents and students. Teachers are always committed for the holistic development of the students. We always think success is not far since we only believe in “team work.”
We are also proud of our Class X and + 2 results. Our staff consistently follows current teaching trends. Teachers are connecting the dots to make a line. The reputation that the school has acquired over these years is due to the dedication and selfless commitment of teachers and supporting staff. We are committed to our duties and responsibilities for greater heights. Except Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Architecture Engineering, we are also thinking to extend other CTEVT programmes in coming years.
I am excited to work closely with my dynamic team for the betterment of this institution and look forward to receiving valuable suggestions from all the concerned bodies.
My good wishes to all.
