Welcome !
Education is the harmonious development of the physical, mental, spiritual, and social faculties. It is the process of awakening the thirst for knowledge and kindling the inquisitive spirit that leads to the overall development of students. We, at Shree Sahid Smriti Awasiya Secondary School, accept the children only from the family of martyrs, wounded and disabled. The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) has spread armed conflict across the country for the political, social and cultural change in Nepal. More than 17,000 people (including both civilians and armed forces) were killed during the conflict. During that time, the children who lost their parents or family members were deprived of education. Then, at the request of the Maoist party, the Government of Nepal decided to establish five schools in the former five development regions. So, Sahid Smriti Awasiya Secondary School is the achievement of 10 years of people’s war, 19 days of people’s movement and 12-point agreement.
As a chairman of this school, I frequently visit the school and find that the children are really happy getting education with the facilities of lodging and fooding. Here is “Parent-Child Relationship” in our school. At present, the children of conflict-affected families from 16 districts are studying in this school from class KG to 12. It was established in 2066 B.S. The Government of Nepal provides annual grant for the educational and residential expenses of the students in this school. Now, it offers ten plus two (10+2) programs in Management, and Science stream. Except this, the school is also offering CTEVT programmes in Diploma in Civil Engineering (Three year program-semester system) and Diploma in Architecture Engineering (Three year program-semester system) since 2077 B.S. I am really grateful to my teachers and staff for the praiseworthy result.
The school is organizing extra – curricular activities and teachers are actively working with current teaching trends. Except Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Architecture Engineering, we are also thinking to extend other CTEVT programmes in coming years. I invite all the children of conflict-affected families from 16 districts to walk through our gates for education.
Wishing you all the best.
